Behavioral Health Services for Seniors

Our intensive outpatient program can be beneficial for adults throughout the lifespan.  People ages 50 and older may be at a time in their lives during which they face tremendous loss — loss of a parent, a spouse or child, as well as other life changes that can cause depression if left untreated.

We work hard to improve the coping skills of our patients and make sure no one leaves the program until they have met their goals. Our senior health services are provided in a safe, supportive environment that offers personalized treatment, including group, individual and family therapy. Transportation is provided.

Seniors’ Choice Club

Seniors’ Choice also offers services to help you save money and stay healthy. As a Seniors’ Choice member, you’ll receive a variety of free screenings each year.

Guest Representative

Our Seniors’ Choice Guest Representatives will be available to assist you throughout your hospital stay. In addition, they will provide information related to Valley Baptist services as needed.

A Private Room When Available

As a Seniors’ Choice inpatient, we’ll provide a private room upon your request on your assigned floor, if available.

Complimentary Guest Meal Vouchers

Seven days after your membership application is received, you’ll be eligible for one meal voucher per stay ($6 value) for a visiting family member or a friend (number of meal vouchers per year subject to limits).

Valet Parking

Valet parking will be provided for both inpatient and outpatient procedures at our Harlingen location.

Free Screenings

Seniors’ Choice also offers services to help you save money and stay healthy. As a Seniors’ Choice member, you’ll receive free screenings, such as blood pressure, one cholesterol screening per member per year, glaucoma and blood sugar screenings. Seniors’ Choice members will receive schedules for these health screenings.

Education and Wellness Programs

Take part in exclusive Seniors’ Choice education and wellness programs on topics such as Understanding Medications, Understanding Social Security and Medicare, Home Safety and Security, Avoiding Falls and many other important topics.

Discounts on Purchases

Seniors’ Choice members receive a 10 percent discount on all purchases from the Valley Baptist gift shops. Other discounts are published in the newsletter.
